Laurette G. Doyon

LEWISTON - Laurette G. Doyon, 93, of 10 Oak Park and formerly of Rideout Ave. Lewiston, passed away peacefully Sunday August 7th after a short illness at her daughters house with her family by her side. She was born in Beauceville Quebec, a daughter of the late Arthur & Valerie Lachance Jacques. She married Lucien P Doyon June 21, 1944. He died October 7th, 1979. Laurette worked in local shoe shops and retired June 1985 from Bates Mill after 20 years. After retirement, she worked at Marshwood Nursing Home and volunteered 20 years at the Good Shepherd Food Bank. She was a former member of Ste Famille Parish in Lewiston.

She is survived by three children, Paul Doyon of Arkansas, Gaston & Julie Doyon of Turner and Doris & Gene Gorey of Lewiston; her sister Agatha Roy of Sherbrooke Canada her brother Jean & Alice Jacques of Litchfield; and grandchildren, Jamie & Lucy Reynolds, Joshua & Ally Doyon, Jared & Amanda Doyon; 2 great granddaughters, Effie & Amelia. Special friends; Dot Charpentier, Terry Beaudin and many friends at Oak Park. She was also predeceased by 3 children; John, Ronnie & Carol. As well as, 4 sisters and 5 brothers.The family wishes to give a special “Thank You” to the staff at CMMC and Hospice.
