Leonard P. Ryan

AUBURN - Leonard p. Ryan, 56, a resident of Lewiston formerly of Portland, and Lynn, Massachusetts died Wednesday, September 1st at the Hospice House with his family by his side following a long illness. He was born in Lynn, Massachusetts, December 24, 1953, the son of Patrick and Margaret (Twomey) Ryan, Jr. Being born without a left hand, Lenny was still able to excel high school sports in hockey, baseball, and football despite his disability. Survivors include his father, Patrick Ryan and his stepmother Meredith of Danvers. MA; two sons, Joseph P. Jones and wife Eva of Lewiston and Christopher Jones and family of Lewiston; a brother, Thomas Lowery and family of Lynn, MA; three sisters, Kathy McWhinnie and family of Leighhigh, FL; Kelly Ryan of Georgetown, MA; and Linda Taylor and Family of Lynn, MA; 2 grandchildren, Allura and Lyla Jones. He was predeceased by his mother, a brother, Kevin, a sister, Deirdre, and his grandparents Patrick and Irene Ryan. RYAN died in Auburn, September 1, 2010, Mr. Leonard P.
