Maliyah’s bright smile, kind heart, and love of life touched everyone who knew her. She had a special way of making people feel seen and cared for, and her presence brought light into so many lives.
Maliyah was a magnetic person—her personality drew people in wherever she went. She was the life of the party and fiercely loyal to those she loved. She had a strong moral compass and an even stronger will. She stood up for what she believed was right, no matter the circumstances, and gave endlessly to those who needed her most. Maliyah impacted countless lives, and her loss leaves a void that will be deeply felt throughout her family and the entire community.
She was born on July 2, 2003, in Lewiston, Maine, to Erin Beaule and R. Powell. Maliyah attended schools in Lewiston and dedicated her time to working at Tree Street Youth, where she made a meaningful impact on children in the community—especially those who needed someone to believe in them.
Maliyah will be remembered for her warmth, her strength, and the love she gave so freely. She was deeply loved, and her memory will live on in all who knew her.
She is survived by her father Rashoen Powell, her mother Erin Beaule, RashoenDi Powell, Isaac Peachey, Zikara and Jennavecia, and Ronnie Powell
