

He was born in Lewiston April 30, 1927 a son of Ludger and Florida (Jacques) Landry. He was educated in local schools and remained a lifelong resident of this community. Mr. Landry was a Veteran of the military having served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II. On September 9, 1950 he married the former Jeanne d'Arc (Jane) Rivard. Mr. Landry worked for many years at both the Hill Mill and the Bates Mill as a loom fixer until his retirement.
He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Knights of Columbus Council # 106 and Wallace Assembly Fourth Degree. He volunteered at the Friday night beano at the Knights of Columbus and at the annual Franco-American Festival.
Among his favorite enjoyments were fishing and horseshoes.
He was a loving, devoted and hard-working husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed.
He leaves his wife of 59 years, Jeanne (Jane) Landry of Auburn;
two daughters, Diane Campbell and husband William of Auburn and Carol Nickel and husband Dean of Turner; three sons, Roger Landry and wife Linda of Bowdoin, Robert Landry of Buckfield, and Peter Landry and wife Cathy of Greene; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister Yvonne Irving and husband Roger of Lewiston; a brother Michael Landry and wife Diane of Lisbon.
Visitation at Fortin/Lewiston Tues. 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at The Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul, Wednesday 11 AM.
