Lewiston - Marcel R. Leclair, age 82, formerly of Webber Ave. and Meadowview Apartments in Lewiston, died Sunday morning January 18th at Russell Park Rehabilitation Facility. He was born in Lewiston September 5, 1932, a son of Romeo and Jeannette (Poulin) Leclair. Marcel was educated in Lewiston schools, graduated from St. Dom's with the class of 1951 and remained a lifelong resident of this community. Marcel married the former Anita C. Galarneau on June 8, 1957. She passed away in May of 2005. He was a Military Veteran having served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict until his Honorable Discharge. Marcel worked for many years at Crest Shoe and later worked for a number of years at Pioneer Plastics until his retirement in 1996. He was a member of Holy Family Parish and among his favorite enjoyments were traveling and spending time at casinos. Marcel was a loving, devoted and hard-working husband and father who will be greatly missed. He leaves his son Michael Leclair of Kissimmee, FL, a brother Richard E. Leclair and wife Muriel of Lewiston and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Anita and his parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Church Tues. 11 AM. Committal to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. At his request, there are no visiting hours.
