Marissa Whittington, loving wife, adoring mother, beautiful soul and best friend to name a few was born on December 20th, 1988. She brought love and joy to everyone she met and knew how to keep a smile on their faces. Marissa passed away on March 5th, 2024 unexpectedly. Our hearts are forever changed by this loss.
She is survived by her devoted husband Chris and their three beautiful daughters Harper, Juliet, and Norah. Marissa's life was dedicated to her family; she poured all of her love into being the best wife and mother she could be. Her passion for supporting others inspired many around her. She was a true class act and a beautiful soul who will be missed by all who knew her. She was an avid outdoorswoman, who loved to explore new hikes, finding beaches untouched by many. She always thought of others before herself. Marissa’s spirit was so bright, the room illuminated when she walked in. Her presence unforgettable, her smile so bright, her wit uncanny, she knew how to make you laugh. One of the best advice givers we knew, Marissa’s intuition, Her ability to read a room, to understand a person and gauge their sincerity within minutes was unmatched. She was a beacon of honesty and hope, laughter and love for many. An amazing mother and wife, Marissa was her husband’s and daughters biggest supporter, always providing love and encouragement for anything they put their minds to paving the way for their success.
Marissa will always be remembered as an amazing person who touched the lives of so many with her kindness and compassion, her laughter and friendship, but most of all her authenticity. She had a way of making people feel special and loved being truly herself - absolutely perfect in so many ways.
The Celebration of Life service for Marissa Whittington will be held at Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home in Lewiston, Maine on March 23rd at 2pm. The memory of this incredible woman will live on forever in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
