Maurice Dubreuil, Moe, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the age of 82 in his home with his wife of sixty years Bernadette, Bonnie, by his side. Maurice was a proud husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend who touched many lives throughout his life.
Maurice loved to take his wife dancing any chance he got. He loved mini-golf, bowling, and eating a good meal with family, especially when it involved lobster! He was very handy and always insisted on fixing everything himself. He even built his oldest daughter her own dollhouse, which the grandchildren and great-grandchildren still use to this day.
Maurice loved going to camp with his wife, children, and extended family during many summers. Fishing, boating, and lobster and clam feasts were had many times with laughter and fun! When his grandchildren eventually joined this tradition, his clams never lasted long in his bowl with one of the kids on his knee!
Maurice enjoyed family trips every year to Story Land, FunTown SplashTown, Jokers, and walking at Old Orchard Beach when his grandchildren were younger. Their Pepere was a large role model in his grandchildren’s lives and helped to mold them into the adults they are today.
Maurice was born on January 1, 1943 to the late Alfred and Yvette (Caron) Dubreuil. He is survived by his loving wife, Bernadette "Bonnie" Dubreuil, and his children: Maurice Dubreuil Jr. and his wife Stephanie Philbrick, Gloria Olko and husband Thomas Olko, Marc Dubreuil, Linda White and husband Richard White, and Steve Dubreuil and his wife Jen Dubreuil; his grandchildren: Amanda Bryant and her husband Andrew Bryant, Kristen Soucy and her husband Jacob Soucy, Brianna Smith and her husband Brandon Smith, and Ashley Dubreuil; his great-grandchildren: Aria Bryant, Braylynn Smith, Braxton Smith, Elias Bryant, Brynnleigh Smith, and Mary-Jeanne Bryant; his puppy great-grandchild Archie Soucy.
Maurice was preceded in death by both of his parents and his siblings.
Maurice was stubborn, charming, funny, persistent, loving, caring, and so much more. His memory will live on for many generations to come.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation for Maurice on Wednesday, September 3rd from 5PM to 7PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group Funeral Home 305 Alfred A Plourde Parkway Lewiston, ME 04240.
