Muriel "Moo" Dorothy Knight

Moo was born on June 30, 1940, in New Rochelle New York, the daughter of Hazel (James) and Thomas Fern Sr. In March of 1960, she married the love of her life, Gilbert R. Knight, in Norwalk Connecticut. Together they shared a very happy life until Gib's passing in 2008.

Over the years, Moo made her home in Norwalk, Connecticut, Leeds, Manchester and Lewiston, Maine and Leesburg Florida. She worked for many years in the family's Diner in Leeds and later at a Law Office in Augusta, Maine and was known for her shy and quiet demeanor and her strong faith.

Moo loved movies, loved to read and had a deep love for animals- especially for her horses and her dogs, Riley and Mac.

She is survived by her children Kim Masse, her husband Raymond and Richard Knight, his wife Mary, her grandchildren Ray Masse, Brett Fecteau (Travys), Drew Masse, Kurt Knight, Katie DePasquale (Anthony), Kyle, Kevin and Kade Knight, 5 great grandchildren; and her siblings, Thomas Fern Jr. (Deb Huber) and James Powers Jr.

Moo was predeceased by her parents, her step-father James A Powers, Sr., and her beloved husband Gibby.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Moo's memory to Maine Special Olympics, 525 Main Street, Unit D, South Portland, Maine 04106, an organization that was near and dear to her heart.

A Visitation for Moo will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with an In House Funeral Service at 7:00 PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group located on 305 Alfred A Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, ME 04240.
