Not Just A Pretty Face

Lewiston- Christine Mae Johnson, 68, of Lewiston passed away unexpectedly on November 28th, 2015. She was born on September 18th, 1947 to parents Alban and Jeannette Theriault (Brin). Christine graduated from Lewiston High School in 1965 and St. Mary’s School of Nursing in 1969. She practiced as a Registered Nurse until her retirement. Some of her joys included cooking, Jeopardy, her grand-dogs, and most of all, her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Jara Johnson of Rochester, NY, and Abby Chasse of Lewiston and her husband Craig Bernosky; grandchildren Silas and Brynn Chasse; son-in-law Joshua Chasse; her mother Jeannette of Lewiston; her sister Gloria Perreault and her husband Raymond, of Lewiston; her brother Michael Theriault and his partner Bryce Libby, of Connecticut; niece Andrea Lydon and her husband John, along with their son John Raymond; niece and godchild Renee Perreault, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is predeceased by her daughter, Kari Johnson, and her father Alban Theriault. A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday December 4 at 3 PM at The Fortin Group Funeral Home in Lewiston. Visitation will follow until 6 PM. Committal will be held at a later date at St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations for expenses can be made directly to the family with checks made payable to Jara Johnson (memo: bank subaccount S2.1). Checks can also be mailed to Advantage Federal Credit Union, 1625 Mt Hope Ave, Rochester, NY 14620. Extra monies will be donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
