Lewiston, ME - Paul G. Landry, 81, of Lewiston, passed away on July 15, 2025. He was born on November 29, 1943, to Henri and Lucille Landry. He grew up in Lewiston along with his three brothers; Bert, Gerry, and Guy. Early In life, Paul would find his lifelong partner Gisele with whom he shared 62 happy years of marriage.
Paul spent much of his life working as a Local 29 Union Boilermaker. This work saw him traveling throughout the Northeast repairing and constructing power plants and other critical industrial facilities. The boilermakers were a second family to Paul and he created countless stories with his union brothers. Both sons would follow Paul’s footsteps, and spend years working for the boilermakers. Outside of the union, he found community within the Knights of Columbus. Paul was a committed Catholic and longtime parishioner of Holy Cross Church.
Paul was the type to never stop moving and never stop working, even well into retirement. His handiwork skills were great, especially in carpentry and autowork. Oftentimes, these skills and his labor were utilized in acts of love, such as building his son’s home from the foundation up, or taking on countless repair jobs. He had a deep love of fixing up wrecked vehicles, many of them would eventually be gifted to his loved ones. Not content to just slap something together, Paul was known as a perfectionist in all his work and many of the structures he leaves are marked by his skill and artistry. His passion and skill also persist through his sons, whom he taught very well over the years.
Somehow Paul also found time for leisure. He loved the outdoors; boating, fishing, hunting, and golfing all brought him great joy. Even after decades together, he still looked forward to weekend lunch dates with Gisele. In his calmest moments, he could be found by his backyard pool, beer in hand, surrounded by his beloved family and crooning along to an old country song.
He is survived by his wife Gisele Landry, son Keith Landry and partner Carol Coy, son Brian Landry and wife Sandy, grandson Brent Landry and partner Amanda Surette, granddaughter Paige Landry and husband Brandon Caruso, grandson Anthony Landry and partner Alexii West, with great grandson Revyn Landry and great granddaughter Ruxlyn Landry, brother Bert Landry and wife Monique, and brother Gerald Landry, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents Henri and Lucille Landry, his grandson Ryan Coy, brother Guy Landry, parents-in-law Joseph and Irene Champagne, brother-in-law Victor Champagne, and brother-in-law Richard Champagne.
