Paul F. Martin

AUBURN- Paul F. Martin, 85, a resident of Lewiston died peacefully on Wednesday September 22, 2010 at the Hospice House of Androscoggin surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lewiston, Maine on June 26, 1925 the son of Francois and Reine (Bourgoin) Martin and had been a resident of this community for most of his life. He was educated in Lewiston schools. He then went on to serve with the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific during WWII. He was employed as a police officer for the Lewiston Police Department having retired as a Lieutenant after twenty-eight years of service. Paul was an avid outdoorsman having enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially skiing and camping. He is survived by one daughter Judith McMorrow and her husband Joseph of Mechanic Falls; three sons Paul J. Martin and his wife Linda of Auburn, Dennis Martin and his wife Stephanie of Eugene, Oregon and Michael F. Martin and his wife Cecile of Lewiston; two brothers Marcel Martin and his wife Colette of Lewiston and Bertrand Martin and his wife Irene of Fayette; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Committal services with military honors will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
