Dear Patsy & Erica,I am so sorry for your loss. I thank your request to inform me, via our dear cousin Lolitta Lambert. Uncle Paul was special to me in my young days. I remember riding in his convertible. When his sister, Monique died he took care of me. He was kind. He remodeled our kitchen - and replaced the cabinets with beautiful Pine wood cabinetry. Dearest Patsy and Erica, My deepest condolences to both of you. This incredibly sad time can only be borne with the simplest help of family and friends.You will be in my thoughts and prayers for weeks to come. I distinctly remember how very proud "Mon oncle Paul-Eugene" was of both his girls. He dropped in to Mom & Dad's one Sat. afternoon when I happened to be visiting and his face was radiant when he showed Dad a newspaper clipping of Patsy gaining membership to "The Big Bucks Club" with her shooting skills! And how proud he was of Erica and her design prowess! I think of Uncle Paul as an intensely private person and an ultimate craftsman. Who can look at his precise and painstaking work on the retaining walls at Stevens Ave. without marveling at the dedication and superior workmanship involved? My Dad thought it the "apex" of craftsmanship and always remarked on it whenever we passed by. Job well done Uncle Paul! We will remember you with affection and a quiet smile. Rene

To My Dear Uncle Paul: You were a hardworking, shy, quiet man of few words. But when you spoke it was from the depths of your kind heart that communicated your feelings and thoughts. Your smile lit up the room when anyone was lucky to be in your presence. You shook our hand warmly and appreciated the little things. You enjoyed the beauty of nature and the feel of wood. You were proud being one of six brothers (one being my father, Lionel) and two sisters growing up in Canada speaking French. Later living in the U.S. you learned to speak English and enjoyed your wife and two daughters and son-in-law, Lou (who by the way was very proud of you). We will miss you very much and pray that you are at peace in Jesus' comforting hands whose father was also a carpenter (St. Joseph). Please watch over your daughters and son-in-law Lou to guide them and protect them. It was an honor to have known you Uncle Paul. I had the pleasure of meeting Paul while my Mother ( Alice Lavallee ) was also at Odd Fellow's.. She was there from April 07 and passed away December of 07.. We have a large family so someone usually visited there daily.. As we came in Paul always had a big smile and his eyes always seemed to have a beautiful sparkle for us as he would extend his hand for us to hold..My young Grandson would at times accompany me and I would bring his lunch and he would eat and watch cartoons and he even at the age of 4 would shake Paul's hand..My sister would always look for Paul when she went because she would love to take both his hands and they would pretend they were dancing.. At other times when the dining area was empty (mostly at night) my sister would gather the clean plastic water cups from the tables and they would stack them making different pyramids from them until they would collapse going onto the table and floor and then they would laugh and do it again ! I guess the staff had to keep an extra bundle of cups on hand for them because of course after the playing of cups we threw them out ... So we have fond memories of him even in the short time we knew him.. We will always remember Paul with his big smile,the sparkle in his eyes and of course the extended hand for us to hold.. Our thoughts and prayers to the family, from our family...

Dear Patsy & Erica,We were very sorry to hear of uncle Paul's passing. We are thankful that Lolita was able to reach us in Florida, as we are visiting Ginette.I remember, as a little girl, going for rides with your parents in their convertible. I felt so special. I also remember the fine carpentry work he did for my parents, when they remodeled their old kitchen...I know that my Dad was very proud of his little brother's skill.Our deepest sympathy to all your family.Fondly, Christine
