

AUBURN – Pierre L. Tanguay, 59, a resident of School Street in Auburn died Tuesday morning at the Hospice House in Auburn following a brief illness. He was born in Lewiston, July 10, 1952, the son of Louis and Theodora (Fortier) Tanguay. Pierre was employed with Pathways in contracted janitorial services as well as other contracted services with Pathways. He was a participant with the Maine Special Olympics participating on the bowling team. He also had a love for horses and NASCAR racing. He loved eagles and country music, and was an avid New England sports fan. Survivors include two sons, and an adopted daughter. One brother Edward P. Tanguay of Ringold, Va; two sisters, Carmen Duguay and husband, Phillip of Wales and Anita Tanguay and companion Richard Christie of Augusta; a special care giver, Teresa Davis and husband, Erik of Oxford; his social caseworker, Dan Crawford of Auburn. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and his pet cat “Peanut.” Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one niece.
