Raymond A. Thibodeau

Carmel, New York- Raymond Alphee Thibodeau born on May 31, 1946, loving Father, step-father and husband, passed away at his home in Carmel, NY on Monday September 7, 2015. He was 69. He was born and raised in Lewiston, Maine where he spent most of his life. He moved to Carmel, NY in September of 2012 to be closer to his young grandchildren with whom he found great joy. Family remembers his big smile, hearty laugh, and his love of golf, nature and playing cards with family and friends. Raymond was employed by Pioneer Plastics in Auburn for 41 years and was very active with the Franco American War Veterans Post 31 where he enjoyed his time as Captain of their color guard. Raymond is predeceased by his parents, Rita and Alphee Thibodeau; his sister Theresa Thibodeau; and his son Raymond Thibodeau Jr. Raymond leaves behind three brothers Norman and Maurice Thibodeau both of Lewiston and Lucien Thibodeau of Auburn; He and his wife Patricia, originally from Milford, CT. were married for 29 years and enjoyed time together taking long drives looking for wildlife and whale watching during the summer. Raymond has two daughters Ruth Reid of Lisbon and Melissa Thibodeau O’Brien of Wisconsin as well as two step-children who he graciously treated as his own, DeAnne Chin of Carmel, NY and Mark Tardiff of Port St. Lucie, FL.; Raymond has four grandchildren Emily, Ethan and Elliott-Raymond Chin and Amber Acord as well as one great grandchild Julia Acord; He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service honoring Raymond’s life will be celebrated on Wednesday September 16, 2015 at 6:00 PM at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday from 4-6 PM prior to the service at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway, Lewiston 784-4023.
