

LEWISTON - Reginald W. Emery, Sr., 80, a resident of Minot Ave., Auburn died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at Central Maine Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born in Auburn June 19, 1931, the son of Marshall and Ruth (Hunt) Emery. He attended Auburn schools and was a 1950 graduate of Edward Little High School. Following his education, He enlisted in the United States Army where he served during the Korean Conflict. Following the war, he was employed as a small engine mechanic for Mooney’s in Auburn for 39 years. He then established Reggie’s Sales and Service in 1989 which his son Reggie, Jr. now operates. Reggie loved to work, and it was what made him happy in life. He still worked around the shop up until recently. He always had to keep busy and never retired. Besides work, he loved gardening and was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of the Minot Corner Methodist Church, the VFW, and the American Legion. Survivors include his wife the former Gloria Carr whom he married, September 15, 1984 of Auburn, one son, Reginald W. Emery, Jr., and his wife, Cathy of Minot; one daughter, Kim Emery of Auburn, four stepchildren, John, David, Cindy, and Linda one sister, Pat Doucette of California. four grandchildren, Amanda and Reginald Emery III as well as Ryan and Adam Chamberland.
