

Auburn - Richard L. Dube, 83, of Minot, passed away Saturday March 15, 2014, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, with his family at his side. He was born in Lewiston on September 20, 1930, a son of the late Joseph and Viola (Poisson) Dube. Following school, he served his country as a member of The U.S. Army and was a veteran of The Korean War Conflict. Returning home he married Cecile Rioux on September 10, 1955 and together they raised their three children in this area. Cecile passed away in 2011. He spent a great deal of his working life at Snow's tire as a retreader. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Sacred Heart Church, previously of St. Louis Church before it's closing. Richard was also a member of The Pastime Club and Auburn Social. He enjoyed playing cards, cribbage, camping, fishing, boating and going to Casinos. He loved his time spent with his large extended family. Richard is survived by his three children: Denise Guerin and husband Daniel of Minot, Richard Dube and wife Donna of Turner, Gilbert Dube and wife Pauline of Minot, grandchildren: Christine, Dwan and Tracy Dube, Michael and Danielle Guerin, Alicia and Makayla Dube, step-grandchildren: Shawn Rioux and Sarah Malvezzi, his brother: Marcel Dube and wife Eva of Lewiston. Richard was predeceased by his wife Cecile and daughter in law Patricia Dube. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn on Saturday at 1 PM. Committal Services will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Lewiston.
