Robert J. Ducharme

Robert was born August 5th 1941 to Lionel and Leose Ducharme. He lived and worked in the Lewiston area all of his life. From the start, life was challenging for Robert, but he met that challenge with the help of his parents and brother.

In spite of his life long challenges, he worked at various jobs in food services and shoe shop, sometimes having to walk a couple of miles in all types of weather to get there. He would not allow himself to miss work, he felt that it was his duty to be there to do his job and did so until he retired.

Upon retirement, he moved into his very first apartment on Rosedale St. above his niece Lisa. Lisa and his brother Roger helped him manage his needs that enable him to live on his own. He also lived at Montello Heights for a year until his health caused him to move to Montello Manor.

He enjoyed a trip with his Mother to Paris France and a trip to Hawaii with his brother Roger and sister in law Sandra. He also enjoyed spending birthdays and holidays with the family, going to the movies and watching old movies on TV.

He is survived by his brothers, Roger and Richard Ducharme, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services honoring Robert’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home. Committal Services will then follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 9:00 AM prior to the service at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston 784-4023.
