Robert George Lapointe

Born in Lewiston on March 2, 1961, the son of Harry and Lauretta (Rioux) Lapointe.

Robert grew up in Lewiston with his parents and siblings. He attended Lewiston schools and graduated as a proud Devil from Lewiston High School in 1979.

After high school, Robert worked for the family owned business, LA Construction Co. Inc. He proudly carried on the legacy that his father left behind for him and his brother. He loved to show his loved ones the blueprints and finished homes that he put his heart and soul into.

Robert could always be found in the outdoors. His favorite place to be was with family and friends around a fire pit. His favorite hobbies included golfing, cheering on the Patriots, and reminiscing about his glory days.

He is survived by his daughter, Darcie Brennan, and son-in-law, James Brennan; his beloved granddaughter, Raylee Toops, of Melbourne, Florida; his brother, Gary Lapointe, of Pownal, Maine; his former wife, Annette Lapointe; and his first wife, Tammy Klemanski. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Jayce Deschaine, Ashley St. Pierre, Cody Lapointe, and Logan Lapointe.

Robert was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Lauretta Lapointe; and sister Lynn Lapointe.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Tammy Klemanski . Her unwavering support over the past several years brought him comfort and stability. Her willingness to stand by him in his time of greatest need will always be remembered with deep appreciation.

We take comfort in believing Robert is at peace, reunited with his parents and walking beside his loyal dog, Banna, who never left his heart.

A private celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2026.
