Robert "Bob" Bertrand Vyr

Lewiston – Robert “Bob” B. Vyr, 71 of Lewiston, ME passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon June 6, 2024 at his home. Bob was born on August 29, 1952 in Lewiston the son of Roland and Artheline (Chasse) Vyr. He grew up in Lewiston and attended local schools. After completing high school, Bob attended Andover Institute of Business in Portland. Bob spent his work career being employed by General Electric of Auburn, ME. He retired after 35 dedicated years of service.

Bob had a passion for playing poker, roller skating, playing billiards, watching movies, and weight lifting. He was a loving and devoted son. For the past sixteen years he was his mother’s caretaker. He cared for his mother with kindness and respect. Bob always made the time to attend family or friends' gatherings. He brought us all much joy! We will miss him dearly!

Bob is survived by his mother Artheline Vyr; brother Normand Vyr and his wife Julie; nephew Scott Vyr and his wife Kelly; their children Liam, Dalton, McKenzie and Nolan; niece Jennifer Dubois and her husband Travis; their son Camden; nephew Kyle Elliott Jr; niece Kendra Beach and her husband Adam.

The family invites you to a time of visitation on Tuesday June 18th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Pinette Dillingham and Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston ME immediately followed by a Liturgy of the Word at the funeral home. A burial will take place at a later date at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
