

Roland Joseph Goupil, born on November 5, 1929, in Montpelier, Vermont, passed away on January 22, 2026, at the age of 96. Roland was a resident of Lewiston, Maine, and will be remembered as a hard-working, generous, faithful, and honest man.
Roland owned a variety store that became well known for its beans and coleslaw. He also successfully ran his own business, Roland's Waste Removal. His career achievements were a testament to his dedication and work ethic.
He was married to his late wife, Lucienne, for over 50 years. Together, they enjoyed swimming, biking, and family trips to Moosehead Lake for camping. These cherished moments reflected the deep bond they shared. His home was his "castle" and he proudly built two of them for his family.
Health was a passion for Roland, and he maintained an active lifestyle, working out until his 80s. His commitment to health was a significant aspect of his life.
He is survived by his son Roger Goupil, and his two daughters Joan and her husband Roger Lemieux and Louise Drouin. He is also survived by his brother Raymond Goupil, his two grandchildren Daniel Lemieux and Rose Goupil along with two great grandchildren Reese and Nora

In his own words, Roland believed, "If you have faith in God and good health, you can accomplish anything." This sentiment encapsulates the principles by which he lived his life.
