Rose H. Caron

1922 - 2012

Lewiston - Rose H. Caron , age 89, of Nichols St., died early Monday morning February 6th at her home with her son at her side. She was born in Auburn, a son of Charles and Eugenie (St. Pierre) Houle. Rosee was educated in local schools and remained a lifelong resident of this community. In January of 1952, she married Mr. Laurent J. Caron who predeceased her on August 14, 1982. Mrs. Caron worked 40 years at The Bates Mill until her retirement. She was a longtime member of the Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul's Parish and among her favorite enjoyments were working with ceramics, reading and traveling, as she enjoyed day trips and Seniors' Bus Trips and Tours. Rose was always an independent lady who continued to enjoy her simple pleasures and getting around town by walking her and there, even after her husband passed away. She was a loving, devoted and hard-working wife and mother who will be dearly missed.

She leaves her son Maurice Caron of Lewiston and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Notice:

Caron, Rose H. 2/6/12. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at The Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul's Church on Sat. at 11 AM followed bu commttal prayers at St. Peter's Cemetery. At her request, there re no visiting hours.
