Samantha E. Turner Folsom

Samantha E. Turner-Folsom found peace in God’s hands on Nov. 9, 2011. Our beloved daughter was born Feb. 6, 1985 in Little Rock AFB, Arkansas. She returned to Maine in May 1985 to share and help Memere Desjardins smile during the difficult times of her illness. In 1989, she spent 3 years where she introduced Grammy Turner, who was from Florida, to a whole new meaning with playing in the snow and building snowmen along with her brother, Jonathan. In 1990, she moved to Greene with her family.She and her buddy Jonathan developed life long friends and memories. They were into swimming, Campfire, Boy Scouts, soccer and karate. Sammie became a cheerleader from the sixth grade until her senior year at Leavitt High School in Turner, Maine. She graduated in 2003. In 2005, she married Jesse Folsom and they moved to Fort Irwin Army Base in California. The happiest day of her life was on June 20, 2008 when she gave birth to her son Darren. Although Samantha and Jesse did not remain together, they continued to remain friends. Sammie had a big heart, a love for animals and a kindred spirit which lives on in her son. She leaves behind her beloved son Darren, loving parents Jon and Joline Turner of Greene, her lifelong friend and brother Jonathan Turner, Jesse Folsom and his family from Buckfield, her best friend Samantha York who resides in Colorado, her Godmother Rachel Pratt of Auburn and many aunts, uncles and cousins.Greeting her in heaven will be her grandparents Pepere Robert and Memere Marcelle Desjardins and Grampy Roy and Grammy Elizabeth Turner. Sammie, you will always be loved and never forgotten, especially for your kind heart and beauty. Darren will continue to love you just as he has done for his entire life.

Visitation Fortin Lewiston Friday 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 11 AM at Holy Family Church. Committal will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery. A service of The Fortin Group Funeral Home, Cremation & Monument Services 70 Horton St. Lewiston 784-4584.
