Sandra L. Wood

LEWISTON- Sandra L. Wood, 47, of Pinewoods Rd., Lewiston, died peacefully Saturday morning, December 29, 2007 at the Hospice House of Androscoggin with her sister by her side, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Lewiston on January 19, 1960 the daughter of John J. and Irene J. (Crowley) Wood. She attended St. Patrick's Parochial School and Lewiston High School. She loved life and had a magnificent sense of humor. She enjoyed beaches, clubs, music from the 80's and traveling, especially to casinos. She loved amusement parks, especially fast rides and roller coasters. The loves of her life were her two precious cats, "Eastman" and "Little Girl."She previously had worked for People's Bank and for the last five years she was the Office Manager for National Financial Alliance. She is survived by her daughter Jayme Lynn-Marie Gibson of Windham, her sister Kathy (Wood) LaMore, and her husband Steve of Lewiston; her nieces and nephews, Daryl S. LaMore, Melanie R. LaMore, Matthew J. Wood, Janice D. Wood and Sandra's fianc� Stephen Daigle of Lewiston.She was predeceased by her brother Jim Wood who passed away May 30, 2007 and both of her parents, John and Irene Wood. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Jean Lawler, her in-home nurse from Androscoggin Home Care, Cancer Treatment Center of America in Philadelphia, Central Maine Medical Center, especially Dr. Candia and Dr. Goswami, Hospice House in Auburn, and to all our family members and friends for their outpouring of love, prayers and support. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Sandra's life will be held on Saturday January 5, 2008 at 11AM at the Basilica of Sts. Peter & Paul.
