

Sue was born in Lewiston, Maine on August 12, 1949, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anne-Marie (Quellette) Desrochers.
Sue grew up in New Gloucester, Maine, with her parents and many siblings and attended New Gloucester Schools.
Sue worked in Lewiston/Auburn shoe shops, where she met her first husband and the father to children, Normand Tremblay. She married Normand in October 1969. Together they had their first son, Michael in 1971 and then Larry in 1975. Her husband, her children and her extended family meant everything to her. She enjoyed everyday moments and looked forward to creating special events during the holiday seasons. She remained married to Normand until 1992, when he passed away due to ill health.
Sue was employed as a Physical Therapy aid for Central Maine Medical Center, for many years, prior to a back injury. She also worked at Johnson Associates as a housekeeper.
In 1993, Sue married George James, whom she met while she was working at Central Maine Medical Center in the Environmental Services Department. They remained married until his death in 2003.
Sue loved music, especially music from the 1960’s and old and new country music.
She loved dancing, which is where she met Henry Wilson, her current companion.
During the last several years, Sue loved taking walks and going dancing with her companion, Henry. Sue and Henry resided in Florida, until April 2022. She loved going out for breakfast and dinner with her Henry and her friends. She loved the ocean and warm air.
She loved her sons, Michael, and Larry, unconditionally. She was incredibly proud of them, forever and always. She loved her granddaughter, Jenna Tremblay, like no other. She would call her sister, Ethel, and tell her everything good she did and how proud of her granddaughter she was. Sue loved dining with her sons, granddaughter and her sister in-law, Diane Nelson and her husband, Steve. She was a person built on by family.
Sue was the type of person to touch the hearts of people. Sue was a kind, caring, and beautiful soul. She will be greatly missed by the people whom had their hearts touched by her.
She is survived by; her sister, Ethel and her husband, Maurice Landry, of Lewiston, Maine; her loving companion, Henry Wilson of Lewiston, Maine; her son, Larry Tremblay, and his wife Lee, of Randolph, Maine; and her granddaughter, Jenna Tremblay, of Randolph, whom was the light of her world. She is also survived by her sister in-law and brother in-law, Diane and Steve Nelson of Auburn. Maine and many generations of nieces and nephews, all of whom she cherished.
She was predeceased by her father Joseph Desrochers (2000); mother, Anne-Marie (Quellette) Desrochers (1985); brothers, Donald (1993); Joe (2013); sisters, Jackey (1999); Joyce (2010); and Freda (2021). Her first husband, Normand Tremblay ( 1992); second husband, George James (2003); and son Michael Tremblay (2021).
A Memorial Service honoring Suzanne’s life will be celebrated on Monday, October 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group in Lewiston. Committal Services will then follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025 from 10:00 AM till the time of the service at The Fortin & Pinette Group 305 Alfred A.
