

He was born August 24, 1941 in Tenafly, NJ the son of Walter I, and Virginia (Annett) Tarbox.
Walter was a US Marine veteran. He was a very talented carpenter, plumber, master electrician and HVAC technician. His motto was “I can fix anything except for broken hearts….” He enjoyed sailing having owned 3 different sailboats and he loved riding Harley motorcycles.
He and Rita Moffatt met 8 years ago at LA Harley and married 4 years later at the dealership with Paul Potvin officiating. During these eight years they have enjoyed many road trips throughout Canada and the United States.
Walter is survived by his wife Rita Moffatt; six children Virginia Ricker, Walter “Bob” Tarbox, Peter Tarbox, Laura Cameron, Brent Tarbox, and Joseph Tarbox; several grandchildren. A special thanks to Ginnie Ricker and her partner Bruce Fitzgerald who were very supportive during Walter’s illness. Also his family would like to acknowledge Androscoggin Home Health & Hospice for being very instrumental in Walter’s care.
He was predeceased by his parents and a sister Virginia.
A private service for immediate family members will be held at a later date.
