William L. Webber

Born in Springvale Oct. 30, 1936, a son of Arthur and Marion Powlesland Webber.

He was educated in Springvale and Sanford schools. As a young man when not in school, he worked at the poultry farm off the Fisher Road in Bowdoinham, Maine, owned by his grandparents, Frank and Eleanor Webber.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960 and was employed at Moore Business Form of Dover, N.H. for many years before his retirement. He was a longtime member of the VFW in Somersworth, and he enjoyed the family cottage in Harpswell, Maine, since his childhood.

He will be remembered for his quick humor, outgoing personality, the way he could tell a story and his all-around uniqueness. He will be sadly missed.

He is survived by a brother, Donald Webber, Alice Clement, Daryl and Stacey Webber, Michael Webber, Kim Clement, Arnold and Kim Clement, Christopher and Wendy Clement, Alison and Tim Pepin, Jane Aucoin, Terri and Peter Simpson, William Webber Jr., Todd and Jennifer Aucoin; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
