Anna Elyse Duncan, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on December 23, 2024, in Lexington, South Carolina. Born on July 11, 1993, Anna was a vibrant spirit whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met.
Anna is survived by her devoted husband, Jason Matthew Duncan; her loving parents, Ray and Renee Templeton; her cherished siblings, Sam Templeton (and wife Darcy), Stephanie Ross (and husband Cory), and Janette Shelley (and husband Scottie). She also leaves behind an extended family that included Uncle Larry Templeton (and wife Sue-Ellen), Aunt Risee Russel (late husband George Wingate), and a host of friends and extended family. All of whom held a special place in her heart.
From an early age, Anna had a passion for life that was evident in everything she did. She found joy in visiting friends and creating lasting memories with them. Long showers became moments of reflection for Anna—a time to unwind while dreaming about future adventures with Jason or planning the next photoshoot to capture life's fleeting beauty through her lens. Her love for photography allowed her to express herself creatively while preserving precious moments spent with loved ones.
A true animal lover at heart, Anna shared her home with various reptiles and pets that brought laughter into their lives. Each creature was treated as part of the family—an extension of the love she so freely gave to those around her.
In addition to being deeply connected to nature through photography and animals alike, Anna's greatest joy came from spending quality time with Jason. Their bond exemplified what it meant to be partners in life—supporting each other’s dreams while building a beautiful journey together filled with laughter and adventure.
On that fateful day when tragedy struck while en route to Lexington Medical Center—a place where so many have received care—her journey’s end came too soon. The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the ambulance crew who responded swiftly during such a critical time; their compassion did not go unnoticed nor unappreciated. They also thank the dedicated staff at Lexington Medical Center along with the coroner's office for treating Anna with dignity during this difficult period.
