Benjamin Saunders

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Benjamin Tyler Saunders on August 25th, 2024, at the age of 27. Benjamin ( Also known as BT ) was a devoted father, husband, son, brother and friend that will forever be missed by all who knew him.

BT was born on March 21st, 1997 in Columbia, SC to Kenneth and Pamela Saunders. He was the youngest of four siblings.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Leeanna Saunders; his two beautiful daughters, Kayleigh Saunders and Raelynn Saunders; his parents, Kenneth and Pamela Saunders; siblings, Michael Saunders, Timothy Saunders and Amanda Nelson; and grandmother, Lovennia Fowler. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Houston Fowler and grandparents, Terrance and Janice Saunders.

BT held many titles in his life, but his favorite by far was being a father. His children Kayleigh and Raelynn along with his friends and family all looked up to him while he lifted the world's weight off their shoulders. Nobody was there more than BT. If anybody had a problem or something they were struggling with he was there.

He loved football with a passion, from playing varsity football at Swansea High School to watching the Gamecocks play. BT married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Leeanna, and they shared 9.5 wonderful years together. The only thing BT loved more than football, was his family. BT will always be known as the guy who would drop anything to help someone and always put others before himself. He will be missed by so many; no one can ever fill BT’s shoes but it gives the family peace knowing he will always be watching over them.

A visitation for BT will be held Friday, August 30, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home - Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, South Carolina 29072, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM.
