A Celebration of Life for Billy Michael Morris, 78, will be held Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Red Bank Baptist Church in Lexington. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 pm.
Billy M. Morris, better known as PawPaw for the past 25 years, entered his heavenly home on May 11, 2021. Born in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late William Buford Morris and Lillie Ellisor Morris. Billy “Bill” M. Morris served in the Army National Guard at Fort Jackson. He was the president and owner of B&M Sign Erectors. Bill was a Mason for 41 years at Sinclair Lodge 154, West Columbia. Bill was also a member of the Shriners at Jamil Temple. First and foremost, he loved his Lord and Savior. He loved his family more than life itself. PawPaw also enjoyed fixing up his ‘57 Chevy and spending time with his beautiful wife, daughter, and granddaughter. He enjoyed attending antique car shows. You could always find him working in his yard, which he kept immaculate.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Vernell “Spider”; his daughter, Karen Addy (Luke); granddaughter, Kiersten Addy (Deejay); sisters, Janie Weaver (Bob) and Mae Morris; sisters-in-law, Fredna Morris and Bonnie Morris, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Bill was predeceased by his parents; brothers, A.B. “Sonny”, Roy, Raymond, Luke and Lewis, and sister, Margie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Red Bank Baptist Church, South Lexington Baptist Church, or Shriners Hospital for Children.
