LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Carl A. Gable, 93, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with interment in Pilgrim Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Children’s Home, P.O. Box 4465, Columbia, SC 29240 or to Pilgrim Lutheran Church Cemetery, 1430 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072.
Mr. Gable was born December 22, 1917 in Lexington, SC and passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2011. He was a son of the late Bennie Gable and Emma Miller Gable. Mr. Gable was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
Mr. Gable is survived by his wife, Blondell Taylor Gable; daughter, Mary Frances (W.L.) Lawhorne and son, Arthur (Helen) Gable; grandchildren, Robert Lawhorne and Carl H. Gable; great-grandchildren, Casie, Taylor and CJ. He was predeceased by brothers and sisters.
