LEXINGTON – Mr. Bullard was born January 21, 1923 in Wilson, Arkansas and passed away Friday, January 23, 2015. He was the son of the late, Clyde Earl Bullard and Fannie May Annabel Bullard. He served our country in World War II as a crew chief on a troop carrier which participated in the D-Day assault on Normandy and later wrote a book, “Little One and His Guardian Angel”, about his experiences. He was named Airlift Wing Honorary Command Chief at Pope AFB at Fort Bragg, NC.
Mr. Bullard is survived by his daughter, Charlotte Shuler (Riley); sister, Thelma Glover; brother, Clifford Bullard (Norma); grandchildren, Katrice Shuler (Ahmyn Masci), Jongy Shahbahrami (Paul), Kyle Shuler (Julia), David Bullard (Mary); 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 68 years, Susie Evelyn Bullard; a son, Vaughn Bullard and brothers, Harold and Earl Bullard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pruitt Hospice, 903 Elmwood Ave. Ste. A&B Columbia, SC 29201. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
