LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Charles W. Byrd, 65, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Pine View Baptist Church. Reverend Brandon Sandifer will officiate. Interment will follow in Lexington Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Byrd was born August 25, 1950 and passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016. He was the son of Charles and Betty Byrd. Mr. Byrd attended both Eau Claire High School and Blythewood High school where he was a star athlete. His love for sports leads him to coach and umpire baseball and softball for many different leagues. He was also an avid golfer. Mr. Byrd was employed by Midlands Landscape and Lawns, Inc. where he was a vital asset to the company. He will be greatly missed by all of his coworkers and clients. He leaves behind his adopted family, Paul, Laurie, Blake and Brayden Romanstine. He is now at rest with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Pine View Baptist Church, Guatemala Missions, 3010 Leaphart Road, West Columbia, SC 29169. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
