LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Charles E. Gable Jr., 73, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1430 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072.
Mr. Gable was born September 6, 1940 in Lexington, SC and passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013. He was a son of the late Charlie E. Gable and Estelle Meetze Gable. Mr. Gable was retired after 32 years of service with South Carolina Electric and Gas Company. He was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church and the American Legion. Mr. Gable served his country in the Air National Guard.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Jo Glenn Gable of Lexington; sons, Eddie Gable and Stephen Gable both of Lexington; daughter, Debbie Stockman of Lexington. He was predeceased by his son, Mike Gable and sister, Annie Jean Gable. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
