Charlie Wilbur Price Jr.

Charlie W. Price, Jr. "CW" passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025. He was born and raised in Lexington County to the late Charlie W. Price, Sr. and Rilzie Marie Taylor Price. He was married to Blanche Harman Price for 71 years.

He was a long-time, active member of Dunn’s Chapel Church for about 70 years. He served as Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School teacher, and chairman and member of their Board of Trustees. He was diligent in his daily devotion and Bible study. His legacy of faith has impacted the lives of his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He founded the Charlie Price Paving Company in 1971 and owned and operated it until his retirement.

He loved to hunt, fish, and work in his garden. He also spent many happy hours making his yard beautiful. He loved his family and was very proud of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He spent countless hours enjoying his time with them.

He cherished his extended family members and many friends that surrounded him through the years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Karen Price (Joe), Ricky Price (Jan), Gail Comalander (Lamar); grandchildren, Michele Dukes (Stephan), Jessica Price, Rachel Price, Betsy Price, Candice Joannides (Jason), Carole Nobles; and great grandchildren, Abigail Dukes, Melissa Dukes, Rhett Joannides, and Julia Grace Joannides. He is also survived by his sister, Jeanette Porth and brother, Alastare Price.

He was predeceased by his son, Garrett Keith Price; and sisters, Loree Taylor, Lessie "Boots" Taylor, Judy Brannon, Annis Wingard, and Yvonne Wingard.

We would like to thank the Agape Lexington Hospice House for the love and care shown to him in his final days.

Visitation will be held at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be held at Dunn’s Chapel Church in South Congaree, Friday, May 30, 2025 at 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund at Dunn’s Chapel Church, 281 Chapel Road, West Columbia, SC 29172.
