LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Dennis E. Williams, 68, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Lexington Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. There will be a private family burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lexington Baptist Music Ministry or John Wilcox Scholarship Fund at CIU.
Mr. Williams was born October 15, 1946 in Summerville, SC and passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014. He was the son of the late Carroll S. Williams and Alene Pound Williams. Dennis graduated from Brooklyn Cayce High School and received a Degree in Pharmacy from the University of South Carolina. He worked for Rikard Nursing Home, Lexington Medical Mall and Rite Aid Pharmacy. He was a member of Sertoma and had a passion for Gamecocks, gardening, computers, music and genealogy. He was married on September 9, 1972 to Elizabeth Wilcox.
He is survived by his wife of Lexington; sons, John Mark (Susan) of Lexington and David E. (Ariane) of Sumter; grandchildren, Kelli, Kate, Isaac, Micah and Jaden; brother, Morgan Williams of North Carolina and sister, Carolyn Williams Chetwood of West Columbia.
Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
