

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved family member, Diane Streetman Crawford, age 74. Diane was born on April 5th, 1950, at Greenville Memorial Hospital, in Greenville, SC. Diane’s parents were Hosea Taylor Streetman and Vivian Hendrix Streetman.
Diane passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17th, surrounded by her loving sisters, Sherry Long and Deborah Whitfield. Many members of the family, and close friends, had the opportunity to spend time with Diane during the last week of her life. The ultimate cause of her death was Lymphoma, which was a cancer she had beaten back twice before, over the years.
Diane graduated from Belton-Honea Path High School in 1968, and began her career shortly afterwards. She had a long and successful career in the banking industry with BB&T. She was a Teller, Branch Manager, and a Trainer during her working years, and was recognized as a highly valued employee frequently over the years.
Diane met the love of her life, C. Richard Crawford, in the mid 80’s and they were married on August 7th, 1986. Diane and Richard were married for 25 years and shared many happy times together. They were very active in their church, Lexington Baptist Church, and also very involved in the Shriner’s International. They had many friends and enjoyed good times and fellowship with them and their family members. Richard passed away due to ALS in 2011, and Diane was at his bedside as his primary caregiver until the end of his life.
Diane was predeceased by her loving husband, Richard Crawford, and her parents, Hosea Taylor Streetman and Vivian Hendrix Streetman. She was also predeceased by her brother-in-law, John Long.
Diane is survived by many family members who will miss her very much. Stepsons, Rodney Crawford (India) and Chris Crawford; as well as step granddaughter, Christiana Crawford; her brother, Rusty Streetman (Deborah); and sisters, Sherry Long and Deborah Whitfield. Diane is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews: nieces, Stacey Streetman Johnson, Nicole Streetman, Kelly Whitfield (Danny), and Wendi Fisher; nephews, Travis Whitfield (Stacey), John “Trey” Long, and Joshua Long (Deidra); great-nieces, Alyssa Smith (Dillon), Haley Fisher, Kamryn Fisher, Vivian Whitfield and Lilly Whitfield; great-nephews, Thomas Clayton Johnson II, J.T Long ,Jaxson Muzuk, Richard “Moose” Long, Joshua “Shooter” Long, and Isaiah “Tado” Long; great- great niece, McKenna Smith; great-great nephews, Langston Greer and Thomas “Tommy” Clayton Johnson, III; and aunt, Patricia Tiedeman (Harvey).
To honor Diane’s life and memory, her service will be on Thursday, May 23rd. There will be a family visitation from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home – Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm at Woodridge Memorial Park Cemetery, 138 Corley Mill Rd, Lexington, SC 29072. Diane will be interred beside her loving husband, Richard.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Streetman, Travis Whitfield, Trey Long, Josh Long, Jaxson Muzuk, Dillon Smith, and Danny Jones.
