LEXINGTON – Frances Huckabee Hancock died on July 9, 2016. She was born March 24, 1932 to Charlie B. Huckabee and Bertie Jane Parker Huckabee. Surviving are her son, Jonathan Newman and his wife, Patti; her daughter, Brenda Hancock-Merritt; grandchildren, Lindsay Clark and husband Bryan, Alexis Mehaffey and husband Connor, Hannah Merritt and Emily Merritt; one great-granddaughter, Penny Mehaffey, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Settle Hancock; her parents; sisters, Edith Williamson and Inez Huckabee; and brothers, Carlton (Pete) Huckabee and Harold (Nudy) Huckabee.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2016 in the chapel of Bush River Memorial Gardens on Old Bush River Road.
