Francis James Bray Jr.

A memorial service for Francis “Frankie” James Bray, Jr., 71, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Lexington. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. Bray was born December 30, 1939 in Rhinebeck, NY and passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2011. He was the son of Francis James Bray, Sr. and Gladys Pearl Lattin Bray. Mr. Bray was a member of First Baptist Church of Lexington. He served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Bray was retired from General Telephone and New York Telephone Company. He loved woodworking and fishing at the beach.

Mr. Bray is survived by his wife, Sharen Bailey Bray of Batesburg; daughter, Shelly Bray Richardson of Lexington; daughter, Melissa Bray Huey of Saluda; son, Darin Bray of Lexington; sisters, Brenda Williams of Rhinebeck, NY and Cheri Cotting of Rhinecliff, NY; brother, Jack Conner “John” of Red Hook, NY; brother-in-law, Jeff Bailey of Batesburg and grandchildren, Raven Wenner, Asheton Richardson, Amber Richardson, Kadie Huey, Bailey Morgan, Sydney Richardson, Dylan Bray, Cassidy Huey and Sophie Richardson and numerous nieces; nephews; cousins; aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his parents and son, Bernd Bray.
