

Born in Providence, RI, he was a son of the late Francis L. and Mary R. (Scallon) Toye. Frank was the Superintendent of Historic Elmwood Cemetery in Columbia, SC until his passing. He loved working in the cemetery and helping families tend to the resting place of their loved ones. He also loved mentoring and teaching his crew skills that he learned in previous careers
Frank started working as a foot press operator in the costume jewelry industry when he was 16. He worked in various positions through the years and before leaving RI was the Vice President of the former B.B. Greenberg Co. one of Providence’s largest jewelry manufacturers.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons Gary Toye and his wife Sharon of Providence, RI; Michael Toye and his wife Lisa of Lincoln, RI; Brian Toye and his wife Victoria of Concord, NC; his daughters; Diana Gamble and her husband Wade of Smithfield, RI, Tracey Saville and her husband Christian of Port Charlotte, FL, Samantha Toye and her fiancée Matthew Kitchens of Lexington, SC. He also leaves 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was the beloved brother of Maureen Hawkins of North Providence, RI. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Judy Jenkins; grandsons Eric Toye and Randy Jenkins-Doyle; sisters Dorothy Greenman, Jacqueline Henry and his brother Robert Toye.
Frank’s funeral service will be held on Tuesday October 31, 2017 at noon in Caughman Harman Funeral Home, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC. Visitation will be from 10-12pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
