WEST COLUMBIA – Frederick Brian Downing, 52, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 28, 2011. He was a loving father who could answer any question and will be greatly missed.
Born in Arcadia, Florida, Brian was the son of Billie Jean Whitehead and the late John Frederick Downing. He was employed by Whaley Food Service; a member and officer of Cayce Moose Lodge 463; an Eagle Scout; and the ultimate Miami Dolphins fan.
Surviving are his mother; daughters, Flannery Koster, Marielle Downing and Miranda Downing; sister, Pam Davis; and nephews, Dylan and Dustin Davis.
A memorial service is planned for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, 1000 B Avenue, West Columbia, SC 29169. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made “In Memory of Brian Downing” to Moose Charities, Inc., 155 S. International Drive, Moose Heart, IL 60539-9903.
