Lexington - George Reuben Corley, Sr., 87, of Lexington, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. A visitation will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church in Lexington.
George was born February 29, 1928 in Lexington, SC. He was the son of the late Freddie L. Corley and Blanche Harmon Corley. He was a 1945 graduate of Lexington High School and served in the United States Army. He worked with Southern Bell for over 30 years and once retired he began a successful real estate career.
He is survived by his sons, George Reuben Corley, Jr., Allen Blake Corley, and his daughter, Hayle Corley Anderson and eight grand-children. He is preceded in death by his wife Linda Suggs Corley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt Horeb United Methodist Church.
Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
