Glenn Carter Clayton, 77, of Lexington, SC passed away March 21, 2023. He was born May 7, 1945 and was the son of the late Philip J. and Mildred Hite Clayton. He was a member of Lexington Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to The Senior Ministry at Lexington Baptist Church, in care of Reverend Dan Williams.
He retired from Delta Airlines after 36 years of service. He was an avid Gamecock fan, and used to be a member and served on the Lexington County Gamecock Club Board. He was best known as “Pop” to his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Diana Thompson Clayton; daughters, Cynthia Crawford and Gina Corley (Kevin); grandchildren, Carter Crawford, Colby Crawford, Corin Crawford and Dianna Mack.
A graveside service will be held at Southland Memorial Gardens on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 11:30 am. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. Donald L. Bishop. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 24 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
