Grace Derby

LEXINGTON – A funeral service for Grace Derby, 79, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at St. David Lutheran Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Mrs. Derby was born October 12, 1935 in Constantia, NY and passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Earl Wines and Helen Cronon Wines Mullroney. She was a member of St. David Lutheran Church and worked as Administrator for the church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Grace loved her family and was a very giving person.

Grace is survived by her sons, Rick Lowe (Terry) of Florida, David Lowe (Wendy) of Florida, Vernon Andy Derby (Joline) of Lexington, Timothy Derby (Michelle) of Gaston and daughter, Michelle Ard of Lexington; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lou Potter (Charlie), Kate Smith (Jack) and Jackie Horning (Harold). She is predeceased by her husband, Vernon R. Derby; brothers, Howard, Richard and William Wines and sister, Patricia Mulroney.
