Mr. Harold Vanda Clark, Sr., 88, of Lexington, SC passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 10, 2020. He was born on November 4, 1932 in Knoxville, TN to the late Anna Belle Clark and Albert Clark.
He proudly served his country for close to 30 years in the United States Army and was a veteran of Korea and Vietnam. Mr. Clark received many decorations including the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. After retiring from military service, he served his community as a Veteran’s Representative, American Legion Commander, and Boy Scout Leader.
Mr. Clark is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Anna Belle (Akiko) Clark; brothers, Edward Clark and Jackie Clark; sisters, Ponitha, Helen, and Imogene. Harold leaves behind sons, Maynard, Harold Jr. and Christopher Clark; daughters-in-law, Lindsey and Pamela Clark; grandsons, Cameron and Evan Clark; granddaughters, Pamela Anastasi, Kelsy, Madison, and Meredith Clark; great grandchildren, Joseph and Brendan Johnson and Emery Zuniga; brothers, Douglas, AB, and Buddy Clark and sister, Anna Ruth Clark.
A true patriot, loving grandfather and devoted husband, he will be truly missed by his family and community.
A private family service will be held.
