

Hubert is survived by his daughters, Tonya Threatt of West Columbia and Denise Wilson of Lexington and son-in-laws, Jeff Threatt and Bob Wilson. He was Papa to four grandchildren and five great grandchildren, Rachel Matthews, Chloe Threatt, Grant Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Mackenzie, Jackson, Oliver, Jack, and Amelia. He was also survived by three sisters, Shirley McKinney of West Columbia, Peggy Small of Kershaw, and Polly Melton of Cayce. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter and brothers, Edward, Harold, Howard, Grady, Frank and Paul Williams; sisters, Audrey Criminger and Maxine Faile.
Hubert graduated from Flat Creek High School and then entered the Air National Guard for six years where he worked in the machine shop. He used his skills to become a successful entrepreneur, owning Williams Sign Erectors until his death. He loved spending time at his farm in Ridgeway fishing in the ponds he constructed and hunting in the woods.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. A private burial will take place at a later date.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers at Colonial Gardens who cared for Hubert over the past 3 years, especially Bessie, Bernette, Monika, Jennifer, Simadore, Jackie and Cora.
