He is survived by sons, Carrol Amick (Stacey) and Ronald Amick (Darlene); grandchildren, Kenneth Amick (Tani), Joseph Amick (Kristen), Matthew Amick, Nancy Amick, Lawson Estridge and Madison Patterson (Robby); great grandchildren, Isadora Amick, Christina Amick, Wyatt Amick and Hailey Grace Amick and sister, Betty Amick Crout.
Rembert was predeceased by his parents; beloved wife of 59 years, Evelyn Eva Howard Amick; siblings, Alton “Pete’ Amick, Kenneth Albarhett “Ab” Amick, Darryl Amick and Harold “Lynn” Amick.
Rembert retired after 41 years from the SC Department of Mental Health. He was a founding member of Oakwood Baptist Church where he served as Sunday school teacher and deacon.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with interment to follow at Lexington Memorial Cemetery. Reverend Grady Parker will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
