GILBERT – A memorial service for James W. Franklin, 66, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Pauline Church of Christ, 3036 Fairview Road, Leesville, SC 29070. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
Mr. Franklin was born July 5, 1949 in Mississippi and passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015. He was a son of the late Ernest R. Franklin and Mary Ann Bright Franklin. Mr. Franklin was a member of Pauline Church of Christ and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. James enjoyed square dancing, ballroom dancing and listening to books on tape. He was a Contract Liaison Specialist with the Federal Government.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Franklin; daughter, Tammy Franklin and son, Matt Franklin all of Gilbert; granddaughter, Olivia Bradley; niece, Christina Moon of Neosho, MO; nephews, Walter L. Rish, II of Charleston, SC, Roman Rish of Lexington, SC along with other nieces and nephews; brother, Billy R. Franklin of North Augusta and sister, Theresa Fulmer of Wagener, SC. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
