John Marshall Bowles III

LEXINGTON – Funeral services for John Marshall Bowles, III, 55, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Lexington Presbyterian Church, 246 Barr Road, Lexington, SC 29072. The family will receive friends at 9:30 a.m. prior to the service in the church parlor. Interment will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lexington Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Bowles was born November 7, 1955 in Charlotte, NC and passed away on June 26, 2011. He was the son of John M. Bowles, Jr. of Cayce and the late Pauline Jones Bowles. Mr. Bowles was a member of Lexington Presbyterian Church where he was a church Deacon. He was a foreign outsource drafting manager for Consolidated Systems, Inc. where he worked in the Roofdeck Division for 26 years. He worked for Palmetto Steel Detailers and J.A. Free and Associates. He had a degree in Architectural Engineering from Midlands Technical College. John had a passion for wood working, landscaping and enjoyed studying theology. He loved his children very much.

Mr. Bowles is survived by his father; wife, Vicki Bowles of Lexington; daughter, Lauren Bowles of Charlotte, NC; son, Jonathan Bowles of Lexington and nephew, Brad Howey of Rock Hill. He was predeceased by his sister, Bonita Howey and niece, Ashley Howey.
