LEXINGTON – A memorial service for Joseph P. McHale, Jr., 66, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2013 at Red Bank United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Red Bank United Methodist Church, 2909 Old Barnwell Road, Lexington, SC 29073.
Mr. McHale was born June 16, 1947 in Montgomery, AL and passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013. He was a son of Marion Cox and the late Joseph P. McHale, Sr. and a member of Red Bank United Methodist Church. Mr. McHale retired with US Airways. He was a graduate of Carroll High School, Dayton, OH and the University of Dayton. Mr. McHale was an avid sports fan, history buff and trivia master.
Surviving are his wife, Rebecca M. Edwards McHale; sons, Scott Brewer of Lexington and Kevin Brewer of Cayce; sisters, Mary Ann DiBella of Fort Wayne, IN, Jo Ann Frericks of Marion, OH; brothers, Mark McHale of Kettering, OH, John McHale of Bellbrook, OH; Matt McHale and Luke McHale of Texas; grandchildren, Dylan, Cleo, Autumn, Emmaline, Samuel, Carter, Callum, George and numerous nieces and nephews.
