TAZEWELL, VIRGINIA - Joseph Patton "Pat" Thompson, 46, of Tulsa, OK, formerly of Tazewell, VA, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011, surrounded by his family. Born July 25, 1965, Pat was a 1983 graduate of Tazewell High School. Pat was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Homer Thompson and his maternal grandparents, Ethel and Russell Crockett.
Pat is survived by his mother, Patricia Crockett Thompson of Columbia, SC; aunts; uncles; cousins and paternal grandmother, Lucy Thompson, of Springville, VA. Pat is also survived by brothers, Artie (Mary), Kyle (Lisa), Keith (Krys), Greg and Michael, and sisters, Sally and Sarah (Allen) Thompson Cogdill, as well as nine nieces and nephews all of Columbia.
In honoring his wishes, the body has been cremated, and there will be no public service. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington SC is assisting the family with the arrangements.
